What is a Pelvic Ultrasound Scan?

During a 20-minute Pelvic Ultrasound Scan, a probe is used on the lower abdomen and high-frequency sound waves create images of the organs within the pelvis. The procedure is painless, you will only feel slight pressure and discomfort when the probe is pressed against your abdomen or inserted into the vagina.
